Fredericksburg, Virginia - In a remarkable journey from a park bench to the winner's circle, Fredericksburg native and father of two, Huntley, clinched victory in Season 24 of "The Voice." The talented singer, a standout from the beginning, captivated both judges and America alike with his soulful voice.
Impressing the judges from day one, Huntley, a proud father, expressed gratitude for the support he received throughout the competition. "As soon as I got my name called, I was in shock," he shared. "You know, [with] just how many no's I’ve gotten in my life, to get one 'yes' was insane."
Huntley's journey began with a heartwarming moment as he brought his 6-year-old daughter, Stella, on stage to choose his coach. The young talent picked Niall Horan, a decision that played a pivotal role in Huntley's success. "Everyone knows I can go out there, and I can belt, and I can scream with a lot of soul," Huntley said. "But I think he really helped with the story side of my voice and really made me feel confident."
For his final solo performances, Huntley showcased his vocal prowess with renditions of "Another Love" by Tom Odell and "Higher" by Creed, leaving a lasting impression on the judges and audience.
On the culmination night, Huntley and Horan delivered a powerful performance of "Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door" by Bob Dylan, further solidifying their dynamic partnership. The emotional moment arrived as Huntley was announced the winner, tears streaming down his face as silver confetti adorned the stage.
Reflecting on his journey, Huntley exclaimed, "As I said in a past episode, I went from a park bench to 'The Voice.' Now I went from a park bench to a winner of 'The Voice.'"
This marked the second victory for Team Niall, with Huntley set to receive $100,000 and a record deal with Universal Music Group. Looking ahead, the newly crowned champion expressed his excitement for some well-deserved downtime over the holidays before continuing his ascent to music stardom.
Fans eager to experience Huntley's talent can check out his single, "Holdin’ On," along with its accompanying music video, which was filmed in his hometown of Fredericksburg. Huntley shared his sentiments, stating, "Every time I get out there, I just feel like it’s where I belong. Going out there, just not knowing if that’s going to be enough, and I felt I had to give it my all, and I don’t want any regrets."
With his undeniable talent and inspiring journey, Huntley's triumph on "The Voice" Season 24 serves as a testament to the power of perseverance and the pursuit of dreams.
